Villa d'Este was originally built in 1568 as a summer residence for Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio. The favourite playground of an Empress, an English Queen and sundry aristocrats, in 1873 it was transformed into a luxury hotel surrounded by the 25 acres of its magnificent garden. The Restaurant Veranda overlooks the lake and the gardens. The Pool and Canova Bars serve snacks and drinks on the Lake Terrace. Outdoor pool floating on the lake.
Lake Como is one of the most romantic lakes in the world and only 45 minutes from Milano Malpensa International Airport.
