The Candid Microphone: July 14, 1947 3/3

Allen Funt achieved a BA in Fine Arts from Cornell University in 1934 and studied business administration at Columbia University. He began The Candid Microphone on ABC Radio in 1946 and soon experimented with a visual version by doing a series of theatrical short films also known as The Candid Microphone. These film shorts served as a springboard for his entrance into television with The Candid Camera.

Thanks for uploading this great old program. I feel sort of sad for the nice old man though, he just wasn't getting that his sounds (which were pretty good) weren't the sort of thing needed for the program. Admire his gumption; he wasn't taking no for an answer!
