Hybridizing the Daylilies in your garden is really easy and rewarding.

The two parts you need to be familiar with are the anthers (male part of the flower) where the pollen is stored in the pollen sacks. The second part is the stigma, the tip of the female part of the flower. The easiest way to do is just to take an Anther and brush the pollen onto the stigma to pollinate the flower.

You'll know if your attempt to pollinate the bloom was successful because it will develop a seed pod.

Know you know how to hybridize and pollinate a daylily in your garden. For more gardening tips, videos and pictures visit my gardening blog at http://mrbrownthumb.blogspot.com
