  • I'm sorry but people with tourettes are fucking insane. They say things that "go through their head". Well if these racist, horrible things are going through their head, they are crazy.

  • @ObamaIsMaBabyDaddy What you're talking about is Coprolalia. Not everyone with Tourettes has this form of TS. Everyone has had thoughts that should probably not be spoken. The difference is that those with Coprolalia cannot help but to let those thoughts surface vocally. Please understand that there are various forms of TS. Some are more subtle than others. It's the vocal minority (those with Coprolalia) and not the other 85% with TS that we hear about all of the time .

  • Can tourettes fall under OCD in anyway?

  • @bowlofarthritus TS and OCD can be present in the same person and it's kind of common to have both. Jacob has both. He is 13 now and while he still has tics OCD behaviors, he has more 'control' over them than he use to he tells us.

  • they said i dont have tourettes but what do you think i chatter my teeth and shiver and studder and bite my lips and i dont know iam doing it and i have some more tics that come and go

  • @goose95able TS is defined as a subject having both audial and motor tics for 6 months or more. There are other conditions that may cause this I suppose. Staying in close contact with your doctor is a good idea. Thank you for commenting.

  • This is an apology to the person I knew in Junior high with tourett's. I'm certain my reaction would have been totally different had I knew thirty years ago what I know now. I'm sorry. I most humbly ask for your forgiveness.

  • Wow Im surprised how broad tourettes is, I thought it was just the loud swearing, but not something as small as a sound of a sneeze.

  • @warner13 We dont need a cure im happy just the way i am in my eyes its the normal people who seem the most broken

  • I have tourettes and it really is a struggle sometimes, but i am just like everyone else. People should just treat us like everyone else. I have gained so much confidence because of tourettes, and i am a stronger person because of it. I am glad i have it, because it has taught me to never judge others and always be kind. Kids with tourettes are awesome:)

  • @ccjoey Im 37, i had it since i was 5, i got jumped a couple of times, i got my tooth knocked out and picked on through school but LItsten, it has its great points, your senses our enhanced, your energy, and other things, you get stronger every year that goes by.
