Yeah I think having those hot radiator hoses on top of the filter is an oxymoron

@moliasz i have a std uk 2000 turbo, straight through exhaust. will the k&n alter the sound that much? hoping for more roar.

those radiatior hoses goin over the intake get pretty hot, have u had problems with it burning/melting the filter?

the CEL might be coming on due to the oil from the filter jamming up the maf. look up how to clean that out.

mine did its a mass airflow sensor problem it is taking too much air and the ecu cant calibrate you have to get an aftermarket mas

No, so far I drove more then 1000 miles and no problems at all. Even with changing up-pipe the engine service light has not appeared.
