Defining Political Freedom

While the term freedom is constantly evoked in political discussions, it is incredibly difficult to define. We will discuss some different and conflicting views of writers such as Plato, John Locke, Jean- Jacques Rousseau, Hegel, and the founding fathers of the American constitution.
We will also find some of these views embedded in fiction, including Erich Fromms Escape from Freedom, Arthur Millers Death of a Salesman, and Aldous Huxleys Brave New World.
..... Ignore anything non-western as you are the best shade of human flock. Corporatize, invade, conquer and control. oh! and debate and criticize. Always debate and criticize but remember the teachings.

Equivocate! Create a virtual entity, selectively attach and detach to it what serves the purpose best. Take what you can from other civilizations and make it yours, own it. Teach from the selection. Teach Hobbes, Locke and Mill, without any reference to the sources they used. Man is a property acquisitive animal, build on this. Then call it West/ Civilized world/ Christian/ secular/ market economy/ free / democratic and make it god. ...
