India's Govt Trying to Woo Muslim Voters

It's the clearest signal yet that the UPA Government is preparing for mid-term polls. A day before the Sachar panel debate in Parliament, the Government has put two major minority welfare schemes on fast track. After a top-level meeting in the PMO last week, CNN-INDIA has learnt that two committees have been set up. While the first committee will help set up the Equal Opportunities Commission, the second will help formulate the Diversity Index.
