@nailband I think Sofia meant that they thought the voice wasn't real, not that the technique made the singing inferior.

A5 is the highest note I can hint and that's only when I belt it.

The only way I can hit those notes is through a mix of some weird nasal or fry technique mixed with letting out lots of air. Lame. I'm actually so pissed that I cant do this as easily and carelessly as Brent.

yeah, men can do it...I was able to belt out c7...but that was before I started smoking and with less deeper voice which is like 4 years ago...now i truly regret that habit and I want my voice back...is there a way to that, brent?

@thesofia I don't understand what you mean by "fake"...not a REAL voice? if it comes out of you its REAL regardless of where it's being generated. that's like telling a guitarist that the harmonics on his strings don't amount to REAL notes. Granted, it isn't what could be described as "full" voice, but definitely REAL! Auto tune is FAKE! lip-synching while aerobicizing is FAKE.
