Climate Code Green Campaign - the impact of Climate Change on health (amsa.org.au/climate)

Most people now know that climate change is a serious issue, and have some understanding of the effects that it will wreak. Few, however, are aware of the extraordinary impacts that climate change will have specifically on health.

Recently, The Lancet labelled climate change as the greatest global health threat of the 21st century. The World Health Organisation predicts that climate change is already responsible for over 150 000 deaths annually from climate-related natural disasters and conditions such as malaria, malnutrition and diarrhoea.

In July 2009, for the first time, the Australian Medical Student Association (AMSA) adopted formal policy on climate change. In doing so AMSA recognised the threat of climate change and the huge ramifications it holds for health. This policy calls on the Australian Government to take meaningful and decisive action on climate change, calls on the medical profession to adequately prepare for the health impacts of climate change, and encourages all medical students and practitioners to become well informed about the issue.

The Climate Code Green Advocacy Campaign hopes to demonstrate that climate change and health are inseparable, and that it is impossible to advocate for better health without simultaneously advocating for meaningful action on climate change.

That 10thou ppm is more like 7,000 PPM Cambrian Period, so which has now got me looking into it more thoroughly. @robreiken I feel sorry for you. You're so uninformed about the serious subject of Climate Change. In the Cretaceous (That is the correct spelling) Period, the Carbon PPM rate was at around 1700 PPM and at the most 2,000 PPM. The ideal PPM rate is around 350, not 2,000.

Please try and find the correct facts, rather than facts that just seem correct.

Heres some facts Carbon today 387 Parts Per Million Crustacious Period it was 10,000 PPM , it don't become a prob to us till around 8,000 PPM , ideal level is 2,000 PPM so therefore we need 6 times more carbon not less. It is plant food & any volcanoes going of can spew out more carbon in a day than all countries in a year so think about that. Second reality: have you been outside of the place or area you live? Travel to the islands of the Pacific and the Indian Ocean, the islands of the Torres Strait between Australia and PNG - witness first hand the impact of rising sea levels. Look at the increasing numbers of droughts (long term) - look at the increasing ferocity of changing weather patterns. This is not about the science anymore - it is about what is happening.

The "scientists" who tell you AGW is happening are paid by the government in order to forward their agenda and continue carbon taxing. Also, the media is the meat in the sandwich as they broadcast the scientists reports through dead journalism. In the end, we get a story, and that's about it.
