This brought me to tears. My children and I are the characters in this. My husband is an indifferent alcoholic. As a last ditch effort to reach him, I played this song for him. I've prayed for him over and over and over ect. He just looked at me and walked away :( I pray no other woman suffers the heart ache I have. It's a wonderful song that everyman should listen to, but don't wait until its too late.

@TheJustinWin12345 sorry to hear that. Not all fathers in this world are the men that they should be. Some say they 'wish life came with an instruction manual'. And it does. They just choose to ignore it (like any other manual that comes with anything they buy).

I don't know you, but I will pray for you. I pray that you will find encouragement and solace. Know that there are not only people in your life that love you right now, but many more to come in your life.

BTW, _Love_ this video rendition. I really never liked the official Sanctus Real video. It seemed canned like a template for 'insert any song HERE'.

I was planning on doing my own, and found yours that was almost exactly the same that I had envisioned (in my mental storybook layout).

I applaud your ability to use tell the story properly in that less than four minute window.

I am glad that such a diverse audience (kids, women, single guys) like the song, but it isn't just a catchy song. It is, more importantly, a message for husbands and fathers. It is a call-to-action to MAN-UP and take care of your families. Shelter and food are necessary and good. But you are to take care of your families spiritual and emotional needs.

(BTW, fathers and husbands go watch COURAGEOUS that just hit theaters)
