There were two repair men going to work on it. They applied the brakes from the bottom of the tower before beginning maintenance, but then heard parts falling through the center of the tower. When they observed the wings starting to move in the high wind, they literally ran from the truck and called the police. They knew exactly what would happen, and the only thing to do was to run like hell. The police blocked off the area, and people started gathering, waiting for the turbine to fall apart.

Oh yeah, and so it's clear, I wasn't calling everyone in Denmark a stupid liberal bastard. That was directed at those who believe that solar and wind power will somehow replace fossil or nuclear power without destroying entire economies.

I wasn't just referring to Denmark but, while we're at it, instead of building more of these ridiculous wind mills, Denmark could build more clean coal or natural gas fueled power plants. They would be profitable and reliable, and they wouldn't be dependent on weather.

There's no actual need for these silly ass windmills.
