Bolivia tiene lindos aeropuertos, pero este si que esta de a perros. Pense que el aeropuerto de Cuenca, Ecuador era el peor que habia visto pero este le gano.

On 2005 i fly four or five different LAB airplanes in Bolivia, the airplanes were very old like you said but also the pilots very skilled. What a beautiful country.

@Caipiroska243 Caramba es una pena porque LAB fue un orgullo nacional para los Bolivianos. Ojala que Aerosur les llene de tantas satisfacciones como LAB lo hizo.

LAB no esta volando de nuevo??
Soy de Puerto Rico pero tengo una maqueta A310 de LAB Que fue obsequio de la LAB, UNOS MESES ANTES QUE CERRARAN EN EL 2007, Muy agradecido con mis hermanos Bolivianos que trabajaban en LAB aquella entonces.
Viva LAB y todas las lineas aereas Bolivianas por siempre y viva Bolivia!!

@AntonioSantiago LAB en sí no está volando. Lo que viene haciendo desde hace un año y medio es que alquila uno de sus aviones a uno de sus competidores. El año pasado, uno de sus 727-200 voló para AeroSur, en un esquema híbrido. Ahora un 722 vuela para la línea militar TAM. LAB como empresa no vende pasajes.

What's a hot landing? Faster than normal approach speed, or overweight?

@musico81986 Faster than normal, usually, although the landing you see in this video is pretty standard for this tricky airport, situated at 9,000ft. The aircraft have to come in fast due to the thin air (at a more "normal" speed they would stall due to the lower air density ie. lower lift).
