@FreeStyler626 for your size a smaller size board would be best. NEW makes wood boards with a nice concave. i had one of those for my first boards. i stepped up and bought a TNT Integrity 38in though. i like the feel of smaller skates because i feel like i have more control over it.
@FreeStyler626 they are all pretty good. I have a Byerly compression with concave and grip tape and i love it. Since you are just starting i wouldn't get one any smaller than 40 for size.
@FreeStyler626 yeah its pretty much the same as wakeboarding for getting up. If you already wakeboard and skateboard you would probably be pretty comfortable right away.
