  • never seen roast goose covered in sauce like that before. doesn't that make the crispy skin go soft? is that half a duck, how much is it? must be expensive, at a place like 鏞記!

  • It's expensive indeed. But it's worth every penny. Unlike Peking roast duck which offers little other than the cripsy skin, Cantonese roast geese are meant to be eaten down to the bones. The sauce therefore keeps the meat moist and super tasty while the skin stays semi-crisp. That's also the reason why Cantonese roast geese are to be consumed shortly after roasting.

  • Yung Kee serves awesome roast geese. One of the top restaurants in HK. Little wonder the foodies loved it.
