Mr Liu performs a relatively older version of Yang style Taiji. Very excellent. In fact, this video was recorded as a standard of Yang style Taiji when the government of China tried to promote this art several decades ago. If you need a slightly different version of Yang style taiji, you can search the version performed by Mr Fu Zhongwen and his students.
could anyone shed any light for me?, i believe this gentlemans form is an older version of yang style, i have viewed a tube video again called old yang style, by an australian gentleman, which virtually bears no resemblance to this, with some postures almost un tai ji, and i m not talking about those fa li
It looks like it, but might not be so. Since he is "sitting" quite low and taking long steps, i think he does need to lean a lot in order to still be in ballance...specialy when he takes a step
I now have a master's name for the same video I found out there.
Google: ... a student of Cui Yishi who was a student of Yang Chengpu. Cui Zhongsan, Cui Yishi's son has some very good instructional VCDs. I'm now waiting for VCDs by Cui Yishi's grandson, Zhang Yongtao.
Thanks for the upload. Important historical stuff for us Yang Shi Taijiquan fans.

I'm curious about the amount of leaning he does when executing his techniques. Isn't this compromising his root?
