  • Very thought provoking vid. Try not to be so hard on the afro centric blacks. They're probably coming from the experience of having been made to feel like an outsider because of their hair. So it's only normal that they would greet another natural with gladness and warmth. They're luke warm acceptance of you when you're weaved is probably their attempt to accept someone who embraces that style that the perpetrator is usually wearing when she makes the natural feel like an outsider...

  • @maximuslyricus This may be true, but if that is the case they should accept people for who they are and not their hair. It's ironic how the same people that push for equality do very hypocritical things.

    I am not my hair.

  • I'm not fully natural yet. But I already got comments like you mixed and got a good type of hair. I hate hearing that. I guess everyone believe all black hair look alike so when they see it curl a bit. You must be mixed...sad sad sad....

  • OMG I know exactly what you mean about Afrocentric people. They will confuse the hell out of you and they tend to be the more close minded at times. Not all but some, white people love natural hair they just piss me off touching my hair all the time.

  • I Love your natural hair!

  • yeah i think that sometimes the white men love just touching our hair. lIke my husband is amazed at how Thick and black my hair is. So they rather touch natural hair they dont see it the way some other Weave wearing women do. they always say our hair looks better natural .. i dont worry so much about my hair and i dont spend so much money on it like before.

  • yes you are so right about how some black women act towards natural hair. they act really odd. but some white people like it.

  • you can look up Totem animals and find out what the animals mean especially if you are very close to them.

  • I love your hair looks great.

  • @gothbaby6: Wow! Well, when I told my mom I was going natural, she said things like, "It's not professional. Are you sure/positive? Really?! WHY???" But its been a year since then, and now she's even told me that she think she might seriously go natural soon (I have never seen her natural hair, I would've never thought she would ever say that). So your mom might come around after she sees how awesome your hair will be. :-)

  • My mom is so ignorant. Since I'm going natural, she says I might as well get dreadlocks and walk around like a Haitian. She went on to ask how am I going to wear my hair if it's an afro...How the hell does that even make sense?! No wonder everyone thinks blacks are stupid...I'd never thought I'd hear something so dumb coming from my own mother...smh

  • loved the video. People from all walks judge others. I'm white and blond. If I dress casually, I get treated differently than when I dress up. I find being blond carries it's own stereotypes such as I'm an automatic bimbo who's easy to sleep with and therefore not deserving of respect. Black people can relate to the need to dress up just to be seen as a person. One black man in a tuxedo equals one white dude in jeans mentality. A blond in a tailored suit equals ANY non blond gal in jeans. sucks!

  • peach ppl love the natural stuff nd i luv them for it lmao its sorry tht my own blck ppl cant appreciate it as much
