OMG thank you so much. This makes sense to me. I am not sure what to do now but it helps me understand my 8 year old just a little better. Thank God for people like you who are willing to put this stuff up to share with us.

@ninjapwn98 its not that its not true at all...people have what i call different levels of adhd...some worse than others...my bro has adhd...i mean im not saying ur wrong but saying its not true at all isnt right

i have adhd and at my school in my science class im the only one with adhd and my friend said do u have anyidea what they said and why is the brain colorful i said BECAUSE ADHD KIDS LOVE RAINBOWS!!!!!!!!!! :D

Oh dear god - that's me to a T. And SOMETIMES I'm neither listening, nor looking, sigh! Hey folks - it's NOT intended to be rude! And yes, I used to get in to trouble at school for appearing not to be listening (when I was gazing out of a window, for example) and then being able to repeat it back verbatim to the teacher. That got me in trouble for being a smart arse. You can't win and adults can be so blinkered.

this is not true at all. i have adhd and i can focus very well on things visually and aurally that i enjoy (most of the time). but when i'm in math class (something i do not find interesting) i stare into space and need reminders to stay on task. its not about visually paying attention or listening.
