@Fluffypopcicle There's a ton of tutorial videos on here that show you how to work EZ DRummer and the software is only $69. EZ Drummer SOLO is free and so is Reaper...  go do it man!

Yes you can write any beats that you want as long as you are using it within a DAW. You can indeed use it with a mouse and keyboard too. You can use EZ drummer standalone if you download EZ Drummer solo which is free from Toontrack. This allows you to use EZ drummer all by itself. However I am not sure that you can make the crazy beats that you want to that way. It can be used on PC or Mac and can be used in almost all DAW's. I use Reaper as my DAW which is FREE!
