@TechHeadsL7 If your camera has an audio input level meter, adjust the gain so that the meter never quite reaches its maximum even when you speak loudly. (Don’t shout or speak much louder than you normally do, though.) Then bring the gain down a bit again.
In post, you may have to compress the audio, rather than just boost the levels. (Look up dynamic range compression.) Experiment, and strive for the most natural sounding results. Soft and clean sound is always better than loud and distorted.

does it add 2 tracks then??? like a left and right on headphones? rather then just 1 from mono?

@shapeworkstudios1 Yes. It makes the mono mic into a stereo mic, and input into your camera.

Sweet, but you need to turn the gain down a tad on your camera. I can hear a fair amount of clipping during louder passages. You can always bring the level up in post if you need to, but once clipped, you can’t do much to fix the audio.
Best,

@AstAMoore Thanks, I did have it low on the camera, but had to bring it up in my editing, and it still has some varied levels. I have to play with it to make the levels even out. I was always a video gal, not so much audio.
