Castaway Cay, Disneys private island paradise in the tropical waters of the Bahamas, is getting an extra dose of pixie dust. Enhancements will provide guests with more family-fun, additional conveniences and a slice of beachside luxury all designed to complement the idyllic island setting.

  • Cant Wait! Im going thier soon and i Love all the new stuff!

  • Castaway Cay (before it was called that) was an island used for drug dealers to stop, do deals, hide from police etc. , Now it is a paradise island...What more proof do we need that Disney DOES make any place Magical

  • @givepropstotherich Well no, but the issue is Disneyland had a helipad that led to two huge civilian helicoper crashes (at the time one was the most fatal) that led to the helipad being closed. So they may have concern. They do have a landing strip on the island that is not in use though. I'm sure any airline that can earn profit would partner up with Disney though, so disney would not require their own air fleet of course.

  • the should add like a mini Disney land on that island... but a downside is only people on Disney cruise ships could go to the park unless they build a airport to the island... a downside to the airport Idea though is that it will cost tons to make a fleet of planes for the airport... but a good idea for the airport is to have 3 planes only that go from the island airport to one airport in Florida...

  • @WishingForHappiness The safest place to be if there is a tsunami is on a ship! Tsunamis only affect land, at sea they are completely unnoticeable

hey this is Disney, are you serious about the question? Best cruises are Disney's not cheap but just the Great.

  • this cruise is great for families, but for teens or yound adults, its boring!!

  • yes. i would ride the airline.

  • @glong456

No, you have to rent the bikes.

  • @WishingForHappiness

Unless the ship is tied to a dock you wouldn't even notice at. At least if you are at sea. At sea the waves are generally not noticable to the ship. In fact, they have to use bouyes with pressure sensors to detect them. It's only when they approach land that the waves start to get big because all that water stacks up in the shallows.
