Part 2 . . It seems to work better for him. I cut out a piece large enough to cover the cream and an additional area of 2" on all sides. Surprisingly, the press and seal stays in place and stays put. It's painless when it's peeled off (unlike the medical patches) and the cream does not evaporate. All the best to you.

No you don't have to discard it vvvv
My doctor prescribed me emla cream because i have to get a lot of blood work. and then i have to get a skin test for my allergies a few weeks after my blood work. He told me to keep it and reuse it.

Emla cream is not to be used for simple things like that and cost a lot. For more information on Emla cream and its purpose and risks and limitations, go to the official Emla cream site which is on astrazeneca.ca

I was wondering, do you have to discard the unused product left in the tube? Because its really expensive and i don't want to, but i read somewhere that you had to? Thanks for the help. x

There is an expiry on the tube. You use it up and if you don't by the expiry date than you have to throw it out. You can get different size tubes. I had a large tube because I was doing dialysis 3 times a week and they were not doing button hole yet so I didn't know where they would cannulate me. Once they established buttonholes on me I used less as they used 2 spots only for the 2 needles. Then when I had my transplant I still had dialysis a few more times so I got a tiny tube.
