It's Music Monday!

When Woody Guthrie died in 1967, he left behind over a thousand complete sets of lyrics with no musical acompaniment. In the 90's, Billy Bragg and Wilco teamed up to write and record the music for some of these songs. They were released on the 1998 album "Mermaid Avenue". This is one of my favorite albums, and I strongly recommend buying the whole thing.

I hope you enjoy my cover. I know the recording quality is not great and I'll be working on that for next week.

My aunt was named Nora Lee. In my entire life (which is a fairly substantial number of years) I have never heard of anyone else by that name, and certainly never heard a song with her name in it. Hmmm...
