@vrikey What do you mean ? This film is about innocence, kindness, resilience and tragedy. It's a metaphor for both the sadness and joy in life. This is what makes it so powerful. All happiness is tinged with sadness. The moral is that you get what you give. The innocence and goodness of the children is enough to get them through hard times in spite of tragedy. This is what makes the ending so powerful - it's so richly deserved and so emotional.

"I've never seen a man cry before."
"Haven't you ?! ......I do it all the time"

@SupaChikkxx I think the way they did it in the 2000 version was more realistic - somehow the trees staying upright while sliding down looks too artificial.

@Ilovecats112233 According to the book she was 12 when she had her birthday. I was quite surprised when I found out - she looks at least 15 or 16 in this.

the doctor is so handsome...i love what he's wearing lol

I love Jenny Agutter, and I'm sure this film is a very pleasant memory for many, but...the whole story doesn't seem to have a real solid point

I do like that beginning scene, how willing they were to help, especially how Roberta laid her elegant paw on his arm and spoke French so beautifully. She's such a lady, and something about her development does seem very advanced considering she's a teenager.
