Yoko Ono: "Children Power" (1985)

A great song written by Yoko Ono from the album "Starpeace" in 1985.

"Starpeace" is Yoko Ono's 1985 concept album, designed to spread a message of peace around the world as an opposition to Ronald Reagan's "Star Wars" missile defence system. As with most Ono albums it did not chart extensively but the single release of "Hell in Paradise" reached #16 on the US dance charts. In 1986, Ono set out on a critically acclaimed world tour to accompany the album's message.

Ever notice how different the vocal mix is compared to this re-release of Starpeace and the original? Nona Hndrix' vocals are almost gone entirely. I like having the choice of mixes though. Great Ono song. Let's hope for a Starpeace Tour video to be released!!

I have not listened to this track since NBC Friday night videos.. in 1985..it stuck to my head eversince....not as good as Sisters o sisters.....but alright....better than live peace in Toronto.
