The Great Escape (original) VW: Behind Enemy Lines Part 1

This covers the first part of Mission 12: Behind Enemy Lines from the PS2 version of The Great Escape.

Here's the original walkthrough I wrote for this mission:

Mission 12: Behind Enemy Lines

Character: MacDonald
Inventory: Money, City Pass
Objective(s): Get a Key

This mission begins just like the first level of Syphon Filter 1. Run along the left side of the tunnel until you're in one of the alcoves. When the train passes, run out of the tunnel to the spare track rails and boxes to the left. Crawl all the way to the shack straight-ahead. When you get there keep crawling to avoid waking the Soldier. Grab the Door Key.

New Objective: Enter the Military Area

Wait for the Soldier patrolling the armored trains to move away from you. Wait for the Soldier who just came out of the door on the train platform to move away from you. Make sure a train isn't coming then run into the door the second Soldier just walked out of. Equip the Door Key, unlock and open the door.

New Objective: Enter the Civilian Area

In this hallway there's a Soldier patrolling and there are four doors you can go into. The room around the corner has nothing in it. Neither does the third room at the end of the hall, the second room has a Bottle. The first door is the important one. Head in this room, climb the luggage by pressing the "action" button, crawl through the air duct. At the end walk down the vent to get to the floor, climb onto the next vent on the other side of the room. Climb up and crawl through the hole to the next area. Run into the room straight ahead and grab the Hacksaw Blade to the right on the table. There's a Bottle in the room through the next door. Equip the Hacksaw Blade, run out of the room, make two lefts and run in the first door you see. In this room run over to the grating and press "action" until the energy bar decreases.

Save your game.

Run over to the alarm and press "action" to sound it. Quickly run over to the grating and crawl through. Two Soldiers, who were sitting in the next important room, come running in to investigate the alarm. Run out of this room, make a left, and run into the room the Soldiers where in. Cut the grating and crawl through the ventilation shaft. Cut the next set of grating at the end and crawl out.

New Objective: Buy a Ticket

Un-equip the Hacksaw Blade and walk over to the valve handle and press "action". Look through the keyhole of the door. One of the urinals (pissers) starts shooting out water. The janitor runs over to fix it. Walk out of the janitor's closest and into the civilian area. Gestapo Agents are everywhere acting paranoid. Equip the Money and walk over to the counter and press "action". You get two 2nd Class Train Tickets. Grab the change if you want it. Equip the Tickets and run to the Agent at the train platform. Press "action" to show him the Tickets, then equip the City Pass and press 'action" to show him that (now if there was just a way I could press "action" and give him the finger). A cinematic will play showing him check the I.D.

Save your game.

New Objective: Exit the Station

Casually walk toward the returning Agent until the Compass starts flashing yellow. When this happens equip a Bottle and run. Run straight ahead down the stairs and through this corridor then up the stairs at the end. Make a left then a right and head into the open door. Smash a Bottle up against the head of an Officer who gets up to shoot at you. Make a left and run down the corridor make a right then a left. A German Shepard attacks you, keep tapping the "attack" button until the energy bar at the bottom of the screen is full. Use another Bottle on the guy with the Machine Gun. When he's down run for the open doors. Watch the cinematic.

@Velniux on PC you can so look through the keyholes on doors by hittin shift+W while facing the door (i have it on PC)
