A fanvid dedicated to Egoshipping.

Gary and Misty meet for the first time, ending in non-stop arguing until Gary, fed up with the red-head, leaves. But Misty chases after him...

Special thanks to nikegoddess (http://youtube.com/user/spanishdoll )

  • If Ash doesn't get her soon Gary will have to take her away from him lol!! I don't like Gary&Dawn as a pair Dawn's better off with Kenny...*Not a big fan of DAwn* btw this video fits them two really good.

  • @PokemonMistyfan19 Dawn's a loser. Trainers don't go around in Uggs and mini skirts. Just...no. But Ash keeps leaving the woman behind and he's shrinking in age, I mean, look in B&W he looks like a 5 year old!!!

  • @LunaticCircle Furthermore, talking about a character off screen is not shippy what so ever. If you believe that Ash talking about Misty, May and Dawn to his current companion, Iris involves some sort of romantic connotation, then you are completely mistaken.

  • @LunaticCircle *sigh* I'm completely forgetting that I'm talking to an audience who has only watched the English Dub of Pokemon =/

May did not go with Drew AT ALL. When May returned for her cameo, she was fighting AGAINST Drew. Infact, she went to Johto, for the sake of improving her skill, as a coordinator because Ash's fighting style was reflecting off on her. In fact, May even said in the original Japanese, that she will be following her rivals, but she isn't traveling with them in a group

Offscreen shippyness? I don't think so... there hasn't been any shippy talk offscreen. The offscreen events that are confirmed are Ash always talking about his previous traveling companions to his new traveling companions, as with the case of Misty, May and Dawn in that order.. As for Ikari/Penguinshipping. I support neither lol. I just brought it up because of the previous topic at hand from Startmirca.

Yeah.. this comment took up three boxes lol. =P

This is due to the fact that in Japan, Drew is considered to be the stereotypical pretty-boy as seen in various anime. Roses for those kinds of characters are mostly motifs, sort of like how a black cat is to a witch in some anime. May going to Johto doesn't hurt Contestshipping, but it certainly doesn't help it from what I've told you before.

  • @HermioneGranger155 Sorry for being a little bit rude to you in the first few comments of mine, I guess I was thinking too much when I typed that to you a month ago -.-

But anyways, Contestshipping... isn't exactly blatant in Japan as it was in Western territories. This is due to the fact that, roses, while being a perfectly good symbol of love in the west, isn't exactly so in the east.

  • @AraikoAdv

With how blatant Contestshipping was, you can't deny that the writers were planning on making it canon. May travelling to Johto doesn't hurt Contestshipping either, because there might be some offscreen Contestshipping. ;) I'm sure May went to Johto to get more ribbons, but Drew being there doesn't hurt Contestshipping. Penguinshipping is more of a childhood friendship. I know Ikarishipping is crack. We're not talking about it, though, are we?

  • @HermioneGranger155 Furthermore, Contestshipping isn't "practically canon", as May didn't travel to Johto WITH Drew, but rather AGAINST him as a rival. In addition to this, May's other rivals, Harley, and Soledad were planning to go to Johto as well. Lastly, Penguinshipping has similar origins to Contestshipping when one thinks about it. Rivals supposedly falling in love with each other? Contestshipping already does that. Ikarishipping is essentially a crackshipping, like Egoshipping.

  • @HermioneGranger155 Ikarishipping barely has more hints when compared to Egoshipping. Paul has barely achknowledged Dawn's existance as Ash's companion. Second of all, to an extent, Contestshipping was started, as an attempt to get May away from Ash. There aren't as many "hints" as Pokeshippers and Contestshippers make it out to be. Plenty of Pokeshipping hints were dubbed in by 4kids Entertainment. Contestshipping also suffers from this as well.

  • @startmirca

Contestshipping wasn't made up by Pokeshippers. Contestshipping was started because of the many hints in the anime. It's practically official. Not a lot of Pokeshippers are Penguinshippers. It could have been the Advanceshippers to start Penguinshipping to keep Dawn away from Ash.

Weird, to be on an Egoshipping video and not even like it a little.
