  • Good job Joe!!! You have a good eye for sure!!! Beautiful colt and smart I can see that!! Hes gonna be an awesome horse!!

  • Thanks Jane, you should see some of his big brothers, wow great looking horses. This guy is sharp as a whip, he will be great to ride !

  • Nice looking colt sure is full of himself! So how does he tell you that his temperment is not that of a real bucker Joe?'

Good luck riding this one Carlene--you're braver than me--LOL. Hi JULZ!!

  • Karen, Like you said he is just full of himself. A real bucker would not stop when I asked him too and this colt did. And this colt would think about bucking and not do nothing, a real one dont think they just do it and you better get out of their way !

  • Thats what I do and then I come in and then it is work time. I like the way you say NOPE NOPE to him :)

I make noises that are disapproving as well. and no matter what type of personality the horses has they understand.

  • Carlene, since the girth bothered him and that was what was causing him to buck , I had to hang in there till he got desensitized to it and at the same time teach him something. Sounds like you are a good trainer !

  • Thanks Carlene, yes I lead him into the round pen and no I did not let him run around and play this time. But he has been to this round pen a few times so he knows it. I just wanted to know what kind of a mind he had and who he really was and this told me what I needed to know. He is a nice stallion. chances are this was the last time he bucks, because his temperament is not one of a real bucker.

  • You are awesome!!!! You do this everyday and I only do every so often. It's a lot of work and you must pay attention every second or your going to get hurt, right Joe? You are the MAN! Wonderful to watch you work a baby! I'm no... Joe Fernandez !!!!!

But if you I will do my best and I hope you approve :)

  • Nice work Joe, I see you made sure he was not making any of the choices on what was coming next! I like that. Did you let him into the round pen by himself first? I want to know if you let him sniff and run around a little bit before you started working with him?

  • Good job JOE!

    Missed watching you work.

Good to have the computer back on line. LOL

Too bad he's such an expensive colt.... be a great contender for the next bareback or saddle bronc rodeo.

You did great with him Joe. All ways a pleasure to see what you accomplish with these TB's.

He's a real pretty one too.
