Pharmacy Dean's Challenge

Fifteen teams of University of Rhode Island P-1 pharmacy students worked together throughout the school year to develop presentations on various topics in the field. Each team had to develop a poster presentation, write a paper and give an oral presentation on their respective topics.

Team Teamwork won the competition by developing http://www.spatrx.com, a Web site dedicated to a student focus group promoting the further understanding and development of the healthcare team with an emphasis on the specific responsibility of the pharmacist. Members of Team Teamwork will attend the American Pharmacy Association conference in Washington, D.C. in March of 2010, where they will make a presentation on their project.
