Gee, it seems just like yesterday when I hear this and I was only 20 drafted going to Vietnam and walking up the ramp to my jet plane at Travis AFB California , December 9,1968 not knowing if I would be back ever again. Funny how one song can stimulate your senses and suddenly there is a flood of memories from this beautiful song about a horrible year in the lives of many who went to Nam.
