I'd adopt one of those dogs in a minute. According to top dog trainers like the dog whisoer and Dr. Matty, homeless dogs are the most intelligent and adaptable. The knoe their environment and don't react to noises, other animals, nature elements like most domesticated dogs do. Tried to locate the reseachers email to ask if it is at all possible to adopt one. But, unabl to find it, You can't ask for a better dog as it will be truly well rounded.
Subway Dogs have similar to humans subconcius abilbities to remember pleasent or unpleasent conditions around them and therefore react at the right moment. So I would't apply words: clever or smart to dogs...yet dogs are avolving towards higher states of being just like any other creacher on this planet.
