Heard this first at Life@bowlers new years eve 1992/93 in front of over 5000 mad ravers ha & the place went mad. Really deserves an airing or too nowadays as it was well before its time.
This is the 1993 Planet 4 Communications Ltd. 12" release of the first collaborative effort by Parks & Wilson, Guy Oldhams and Roger Lyons. The Manchester, UK progressive house super-group was responsible for many 12"s on the P4 label, making their work highly sought after upon release.
As a debut single this is nothing short of impressive. An epic progressive house / progressive trance tune with two slightly different styles for the listener to enjoy.
The A side version is the one that has the most energy and style, making it my choice for the most played version of the track (even after a second remix 12" was released a year later). The breakdown in the track is one of the most epic sounding bits of progressive house you'll ever hear.
The AA side is a Euro-prog house version that's a bit more straightforward, not-so-epic kind of track. The main elements of the track are still there, just built into a different concept. It's a solid, DJ friendly track, but in comparison to the A side, it's a little underwhelming.
The A side version is truly one of my favourite tracks of all time.
Enjoy.
Breakdown in this tune is like an earthquake. I can't imagine dancefloor after dropping this...
Great upload, and it's a shame it has so little views.
