Invasio Barbarorum: Western Romans vs 2 Hunnic Armies 1/2

Since lately i got really intrested in late Romans & Byzantines i'm really loving Invasio Barbarorum VII Flegellum Dei, & thats the only reason why i haven't yet installed Roma Surrectum II. The units, their gear, equipment, weapons & shield designs are really realistic & histoically accurate since they look exactly like on those Osprey history books. Those Osprey books are great & they'r really helping game modders to do an excellent & more historically correct job on mods. Here with 1 Western Roman army (Imperium Romanum Occidentalis) i'm battling 2 armies of the Huns & although they outnumber me 2-1 my desciplined & tough catafractarii & clibinarii alone destroyed & routed most of them before my infantry engaged hand to hand & i also used 1 heavy onager which also devestated some of their units. I noticed that the onagers with burning stones in invasio barbarorum are deadly accurate unlike in RTW, in RTW when using burning stones on onagers u can easily run out of ammo without hitting a single enemy soldier, they go so wide that it starts to look stupid if not hitting ur own men stationed in front of them lol. Here 1 of the Hunnic warlords got blasted out by one of them lol, i love when that happens hehe unless it doesn't happen to my troops. Even tho my heavy cavalry charging their lines they were getting peppered by hails of hunnic arrows they still didn't make much damage on the well protected clibinarii & catafractarii & those foederati skirmishers i had i used them for the 1st time, i didn't like them art all so i'm not gonna use them again cos usually i deploy the Sagittarii Graves which are much greater. Hope u like it.. Vid part 2 doesn't contain action since it just shows chasing down the fleeing units but i thought i'd post it as well.

alright i've looked thru the data file for this one,anyone know the name to use cheating with equites stablesiani,thay are for Romans East,West,and Rebel empires.there is no listing in data,maybe they are considered a bodyguard unit perhaps..hmm?

@sungodrah The exact names u want for a unit for creating a unit, u must take from the EDU. i'm not 100% certain but try graal knights for stablesiani.

That first shot with the onagers = RISKY! I wouldn't have tried it, good job on pulling it off :) also I'm interested with your use of heavy cavalry. I usually use old legion tactics when fielding late romans, but you seem to almost do it medieval knight style...

@JulianusFlavius1 tnkx alot my friend :) yes, since i was playing against Huns, i relied also on my cavalry since the Huns' best units are horse archers & other cavalry. The late Romans during the Hunnic invasion made good use also in heavy cavalry. By those times, tactics in the Roman army had changed much. My Heavy Cav here did most of the job. The 1st onager shot was risky, but in IB mod burning onagers r so accurate compared to RTW & M2TW.

@Zwobert this mod is still new to me, i only been playing it for a week or so but i really like it :) Ur right, me too i get confused sometimes aswell with both sides, new units & new flags especially when playing against the sassanids with the romans, both of them have catafracts very similar to eachother & easy to confuse u, but i keep an eye on the flags to identify my units from topview.
