@2penguin4u To be honest, playing concert crash cymbals isn't that hard. But kudos to you. You're part of the 0.1% of middle school percussionist who knows how to play crash cymbals properly.
but I fell in love with this instrument, and I play it my one way, which I shape & polish. btw, it's completely difers from what you've shown, but I also do stand for a full-bodied beautiful tone. Cymbals require such a tone, and that's how I feel.
"if I wanna minimalize the flam I make the angle less" - GREAT LOGIC, DUDE! )))
well, actually it works, I agree, but does your audience consist only of an artisans & amateurs who need such a basic things to be chewed & shoved into their brains? I doubt. And finally, CYMBALS ARE NOT an instrument where any explanations can help. Some guidelines, yeah, may be suitable, but not a single man in the world possesses the ability to TEACH this instrument.
Even though playing the crash cymbals isn't very difficult to some people, it can be very hard to do it correctly. Great job!

@TheCarnivorousWay It's funny cause he is in the biggest percussion event ever giving a clinic and you're just a troll on youtube.

@malletech Ridiculous is NOT to have an ego, cause ego is the principal moving force in life.
God bless Ayn Rand for 'The Virtue Of Selfishness'.

Thus the reason he's sharing his view on cymbal playing & not enforcing it upon everyone. The ego some people have. Ridiculous
