I use the general term Victorian Era Hairstyles to span about 100 years from the advent of photography until long hair went out of vogue after World War I. Long hair was considered a sign of good health, good diet, prosperity, and femininity.

  • Wow the woman at 2:48 is a knock out!!! I can't believe what pristine beauty she had, holy shitake mushrooms man. I would love to know who she was. However, her features being rather desirable by contemporary standards, I wonder what what thought of her appearance at that time. I bet she was a knock out even then. Would love to know even more how she got her hair like that and just HOW MUCH was needed for that most stupendous braided do.

  • why no music?
