This is the vision clip that Northside asked me to create for the launch of the new theme in 2010. First seen in November last year - it does a quick recap of the previous Vision clip then moves onto the following years theme. Composited entirely in Adobe after effects, with the help of Adobe Photoshop and a lot of pluggins, mainly Trapcode particular. For sound used Adobe Audition and Acid Music. Songs are copyright to relevent artists etc, they include. Massive Attack - Teardrop, Lux Aeternea Remix 2 (for Lord of the Rings: Two Towers), Augusts Rhapsody from August Rush the motion picture. Sound effects are from Andrew Kramer's - Video Copilot - Designer's Sound FX. The sequence of the Orb flying over Melbourne took like 2 months to do - only because the image is of high quality due to been zoomed in(in google maps) and achieving a higher quality picture then screen capturing it, then moving on to the next bit and doing the same. Took forever to put them all together and line them up. In the end After Effects couldnt handle the single 3.26Gb image file let alone the 4 split up version of it. So i had to split it up eventually into 16 equal pieces. Each piece still measured about 3 x 3 metres in real life measurements. There are some errors in the Orb fly over scene with lighting effecting some of the different pieces differently - but because of time restraints I had to overlook them or put other things there in place. Also this sequence was meant to cut to different angles at ground level - but again - ran out of time. This clip was done entirely by Matthew Canham - I was given no limit to what I had to create - all it needed to do was convey next years theme to the church audience in an effective way. I have had no training in Adobe After Effects - all self taught with the help of online tutorials. I don't really think this piece is of the highest quality - but for the time frame and resources I had, it was the best that I could come up with!
