@BigTimePride It's too bad people don't want to hear the truth about these land destroying eyesores. I live in Blue Knob right next to this farm & I hate everything about them. I especially hate that they think they can keep people from coming anywhere near the site. I ride atv trails that were there for generations & they put up gates & lay trees down so you can't ride on them & most are no where near the turbines. Green energy my ass. Half the forest is gone just to make room for turbines.

I've worked on this farm, couple yrs ago, beautiful site

I can't speak for all wind farms but will speak of my own experience. I live near a wind farm and don't like it. They do keep you awake at night and as the guy below mentioned they don't turn without wind. I'd say half of the windmills near my house are seldom to never turning and the few that do turn are much louder than wind farm supporters admit. Waste of valuable land and money.

All these demands for Sustainable energies are going to make the prices of power increase dramatically... is that ok with everyone... and so what about another coal plant... its much more efficient to put up then a nuclear.

So when are they going to turn these things on so they generate some wind?! LOL

Its really cool to be able to see these from above. I am able to see about 8 or 9 of the windmills from where I work, but its really cool to see them from above.
i guess there wasn't any wind that day. Like why are they all not turning?

The video was made before this wind farm was commissioned, just when construction was completed. They are not turning because the farm was not yet on line.

Great video! I work there and was planning on asking my friend if her brother would be able to take pics from his plane, but video is alot nicer!
I'm not sure where birdandbat is getting his information on the amount of land being cleared, but he needs to consider doing further research using a credible source.
Anyway, thank you Loncella for showing me the perspective I can't see while working, great job!

I worked on the project for one of Gamesa's contractors and took many still photos from the air as well. I would be happy to share them.
