Alex Smith or Colin Kaepernick--Who will start at QB for the 49ers in 2011?

Colin Kaepernick was drafted to replace Alex Smith at quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, but Jim Harbaugh doesn't have a clear-cut starter Day One. Will he go with Kaepernick or Smith, or try David Carr or Troy Smith?

I never said he was above mediocre, i'd give him a B- in his performance this year. There are 11 people on the offense, it's not just Alex's fault. How about our recievers? Braylon didn't compete at all this year, Vernon is great but can't catch a damn ball, and Crabtree is too slow for an actual deep threat. That being said, they are doing enough to win. Kinda like the San Francisco Giant's penet run.

No one talks about how great of a football-sitter Smith is! lol.. It's all about the DEFENSE! And I know what the west coast offense (wco) consists of! Lots of teams run a wco - ATL, Saints, Packers, Texans, Philly, and the list goes on. QB's in those systems aren't afraid to sling the ball downfield...

Everybody throws for 3000 yards you idiot, he threw less picks than everyone and did enough to win more games than we have won since Young was here.
