These are the "clown" acts from Saltimbanco, The number was originally developed by René Bazinet. I performed the role from 2002 until 2005... and again on occasion in 2006.
The numbers have often been accused of being too long. Yet, when they were well performed, became a 'highlight' of the show. The audience memeber is not a "plant" and much of it is improvised.

  • ese si es payaso y no chingaders!!!!!

  • Saltimbanco was my first Cirque du Soleil, and it remains one of my all-time favorites among the many shows.

  • Strongest enemy

  • @musicislove07 lucky you ! XD

  • Ok, so I saw this show April 11 in Nashville and I was so lucky to get to actually be the participant in the gunshow part. I have always dreamed of being the audience member who got to go up and I lucked out when the first guy he picked didn't want to and then he tried to get my father and both my parents, and the random friend that was sitting behind me pointed at me. I am sad though that there are no pictures or video of it. It was so much fun!

  • How many times the selection went "wrong"?

  • why did he pick the tallest guy?

  • You are both Right and you are both... mistaken. In Saltimbanco the audience member is a different person in every show... in Dralion, as you have seen it is obviously a "plant", The role of the audience member was performed initially by a very talented actor who's name is "guto".

Saltimbanco is unique in that the number is searching to find complicity with the guest, to open a true dialogue of play. Each night I had to adjust and find a contra rhythm to the individuals sensibilities.
