300 million children suffer from hunger worldwide. School lunch programs fight child hunger and also boost school attendance and performance. This film highlights the use of school lunch programs in Europe following World War II and how they can be used today in countries like Afghanistan, Kenya, and Sudan. The future of these nations depends on a nourished and educated youth. Supporting the U.S. government McGovern-Dole Food for Education program is seen as key to ensuring every child around the globe can receive a school lunch. McGovern-Dole helps fund the work of the World Food Program, Catholic Relief Services and other organizations that carry out school lunch programs in developing countries.

Yes, lets give kids in other countries school lunch programs just like in the states! Food that Big Food companies make money on and dont really have much nutritional value. Can you hear the chi-ching? There needs to be good, sound food standards before programs are actually put in place.

Having food is so importend, not just for the kids, but also for the parrents.

I remember my mother telling aobut worldwar two.

I the Netherlands the people in the big citys needed the help most.

A lot children were send to the countrysite because the people out there were growing there own food, had milk, and everything kids needed.

Without that, and the other help we received after worldwar 2 there would be many more deads.
