I've had the Debussy etudes score and U c h i d a and an American pianist cd for years but always find D e b u s s y ' s whimsy difficult to follow . Then today after playing # 12 I got on youtube and discovered this glorious music in # 11 .There are more than a dozen pianists playing it here . Uchida is remarkable ! after many listens more than a dozen I have found my newest marvel !

My favorite (beside Uchida) ! But why does he repeat the last high note ? I don't think it's in the sheets...

I hope, this guy will be the kick in LangLangs ass I'm waiting for. No cheap effects, no cheap emotions, intelligence in every note... wow, I love him !
