A scene from the film Sherlock Jr. starring Buster Keaton. This is the full scene with music. Amazing stunts and great performances. I think everyone could enjoy this film. Perfect for those who haven't seen so much silent film before.

I'm not saying they didn't play with the speed of the camera, although not much because it would be noticeable, but there is some slight movement of his hair and pant leg. The fact that his hair doesn't move is probably due to whatever pomade he plastered his hair with (they all did in the twenties). All camera techniques at this time were done inside the camera: fades, double exposures, split screens. Dangerous stunts with trains were more common than pie throwing in silent comedies.
