Bug = just plain outclassed by everything else Gen III: Signal Beam, Silver Wind, Ninjask, Shedinja, Armaldo(!) Bug = respectable Gen IV: Yanmega(!), Vespiquen, Bug Buzz, X-Scissor(!), U-Turn(!) Bug = cool Gen V: Escavalier(!), Scolipede, Galvantula, Volcarona(!), Genesect(!!!) Bug = EPIC (!) = awesome

Also, Arcanine was actually supposed to be the master of the Legendary Birds trio, but they changed it, giving him a pre evolution. Also, venonat was supposed to evolve into Butterfree, and metapod into venomoth, but they switched them because they didn't want Ash to have a Venomoth. Ash's first pokemon, Pikachu, was actually meant to be Clefairy but they changed it due to popular demand. Also, Munna was actually created in Gen 1 and Gastrodon was meant for Gen 3 but was replaced by chimecho.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Cubone is actually a baby Kangaskhan? Marowak was originally made to evolve into Kangaskhan but they changed it at the last minute, because they thought it would be innapropriate to make a pokemon wearing the skull of its dead kangaskhan mother, etc. So they were made 2 seperate pokemon. The marowak that evolves into kangaskhan was put in an empty slot without a number, hid in the game.This is why missingno evolves into kangaskhan.

@joekickass90 Well em beedrill, beautiflies, dustox, venemoths... etc have always been quite weak in the show... guess you can't turn it around in the game :/. Scyther is pretty decent and scizor is a godsend though lol

@joekickass90 well theres scizor, heracross, yanmega is pretty decent, forretress if you use it right, and now genosect in gen 5.

lol i havent seen a marowak in awhile the last time was about 4 years ago, a friend of me had one in his team and it was called "Macrosack" :D still can remember as if it was yesterday
