Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - Red Qurupeco part 1 (Lance)

Guild 7* Mission (HR5)

The new Qurupeco sub-specie. I can easily say that this one is a lot harder. Not to mention it loves to call on high level monsters. I had a lot of problems in this video against the Green Nargacuga. Well it took awhile, but I eventually got him down.

hi ! im kinda stuck at the h5 gigginox quest .I tried to do it with a SA(the only kind of weapons that i have at the moment ). Now im thinking about trying to do it with a lance cuz in mhp3 they look fluid in movements and very usefull(in unite i used lances only at the training school ).,Do u recomend eny laces or other weapons mayby ? im hr9 in unite soo il take a complicate answer:) .Hope u answer.

@action298 Try out some fire weapon and it should do pretty decent damage against Gigginox. A fast weapon or a weapon can block is recommended yea. Lance would do really nice and you're right, they're much more mobile and flexible in this game than Unite (it started to be much better in MHTri).

Otherwise you could also try a fire SnS, they're pretty nice too against this guy who can be a little annoying with his poison attacks. You can easily use Antidotes without sheathing with SnS.

red quru's a high rank monster right? so why is your lance only green sharpness? did you not bother upgrading it or is is the highest level frost lance you could get?

@taimoortarafdar Yes, I hadn't hunted enough Barioths to make a higher rank frost Lance. I just wanted to hunt him early and upload to YouTube.

@coelamon By doing quests for your Hot Spring, you can upgrade it and when you take a dip in it, it will increase your stamina and health.

qurupeco = lance & Gunlance

royal ludroth = dual blades & LS

nargacuga = dual blades (again)

barioth = gunlance & SA

Tigrex = GS

Agnak = lance & gunlance (melt up agnaktor armor)

gigginox = LS & hammer (head)

uragaan = hammer, horn, and Gunlance (to break chin/jaw easily)
