Seven people arrested in gang murder

Lompoc Police announced the arrests of 7 persons who they say are responsible for the shooting death of 38-year old Ysidro Madera in January.

Police say the deadly shooting appears to be gang and drug related and they say the suspects arrested are all part of one gang.

Three of the persons arrested are adults, two of the arrests are juveniles that have been charged as adults. Two other juveniles are currently being handled in juvenile court.

The adults being charged for the murder are 31-year old Gregory Wallace, 19-year old Sonia Silva and 19-year old Joshua Lemon of Lompoc.

The juveniles charged as adults are 16-year old Christopher Jaime and 16- year old Raymond Cardoza. Two unnamed juveniles, 15 and 17 years old, were also arrested.

Investigators also say they recovered the weapon used to murder Madera - a 12 gauge shotgun.

Madera was shot in the torso in a carport in the 200 block of North K Street in January.
