There are some things to which all children are entitled from health, safety and survival to an education and freedom from discrimination. .These are rights, and they belong to every child.

But HIV and AIDS endanger many of those rights. They take a toll on the health of parents and children alike. If parents get sick, children may have to work and can miss out on their education. Whats more, AIDS-related discrimination can cut children off from their communities.

This short video examines the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on child rights, and considers the steps countries can take to ensure that those rights are protected.
