  • one of the greatest works of art, perfectly executed.

  • chonan was winning this fight and it was pretty evident if u watched it that he would have won by decision if he didnt do the heel hook

  • @anotherdrunkguy This must be Josh Barrnet's screen name because I have seen it millions of times. I have the Shockwave 2004 dvd. The first part of the first round Silva did have Chonan in that body triangle but couldn't finish and ended up on his back eventually getting a card for stalling. The Second round Chonan spends most of the round on top tagging Silva? Maybe you didn't see all those inside leg kicks land .Chonan was winning that fight and was the better fighter that night.

  • @shroomboy102 You obviously never saw the fight because Silva was MURDERING him until that SINGLE move. Chonan wasn't even in the fight until that happened. Go talk about lego star wars or something you know JACK SHIT about.

  • It was a pefect ending to a fight where Silva was losing.

  • @gadie1989

The heel hook was never banned in the UFC. As of recent, Rousimar Palharas has used it with success, as have many others.

  • @SeanOMatic Ehh, its true that Cung didn't really do a scissor heel hook. But he's been rocking scissor takedowns in Sanshou competitions before the days of MMA. I'll say that because of mr. Chonan, I'm gonna work up my Jits, TKD, and kickboxing so i can one day pull that move in the ring and make a few extra G's for sub of the night.

  • One of the rare cases this move actually worked

  • @koflan Yes it was. But he was still lucky that Anderson didnt back up. You can have nearly fawless form and still not get submissions. The only reason I said it was lucky was because he was getting beaten before this moment. No discredit to his skills or his execution of the technique. It was beautiful to watch.

  • @docbach329 Looked pretty well executed to me.

  • I just noticed it's an inverted heel hook which hurts worse than a standard heel hook.

  • HAHAHA lets see that instant replay and jim carreys face lol
