The level of training one can achieve with both tigers and dogs is simply astounding.
You never actually thought the tigers, lions, or bears in any movies you've ever seen actually mauled anyone or anything did you?
I recommend a book for you: Samba.
It's about a particular lion we all know from the MGM trademark. It's his life story, and it's a great read. You also learn a lot about respecting animals and their instincts while reading it.

@boogerbenson That's odd, maybe we have the same neighbour? My neighbour has an 18 lbs jack russell that once grabbed a full grown orca by the tail and swung it onto land, where it waited for my neighbour to catch up to him sitting with a paw on the blue whale’s neck, so yea dogs can and will take down game of unlimited size if they feel the need. He had his eyes on a blue whale too, and if my neighbour hadn’t stopped him, he would probably have killed that one too.
