this was beautiful. i have an autistic brother and i work at a camp for children and adults with disabilities, and am completely in love with both of them. you made me realize how much of a hypocrite i can be, regardless of my surroundings. i'm quick to criticize when someone drops the "R" bomb, yet am completely guilty of using it. i agree with the part about not trading Olivia for anything. the happiness my brother finds in the simple things in life keeps my heart beating. God bless you both!

I am breathless. I am speechless. I have tears on my cheeks. I honor you, I honor Olivia. Please, keep teaching the world about the "Special Needs" community, you have a tremendous gift. (PS-my son has hemiplegia CP, speech apraxia, and dysarthria). God bless you!

Soeren has spoken in our community to about a 1000 students and teachers at 7 different schools. He has inspired many people to be more thoughtful about their words and some kids have started their own End the R word campaigns. He is a very powerful speaker and advocate for people with disabilities. He has changed the world in a small way out of his love for his sister.
