Both Nurse and Mills were speaking on the topic of "Social Media in Law Enforcement". Both men share a passion to be proactive with prevention strategies to prevent youth violence and believe that if the little risk factors that lead to violence and murders among youth can be recognized both in real life and online, and interventions done by school staff, police, parents and professionals to assist youth to reach their true potential.

A focus on relationships and technology is the key - positive relationships and pre-arrest/charge diversion strategies for minor offences by police working in school and community resource officer (SRO) positions in collaboration with community partners in schools and community centre settings.
