A UK couple, Leigh Van Bryan and Emily Bunting where detained by the US Department of Homeland Security regarding messages sent via Twitter. The young couple had been planning a trip to the US and on entering LAX where obtained for 12 hours in a holding cell under armed guard. The couple where separated and Leigh has claimed that he was put in with Mexican Drug Barons.

The entire ordeal was sparked off due to the words Destroy America, however in the context they where used it is a tough stance the US Homeland Security took. They where saying that they where going to destroy America in the context of partying. This is a term used widely in the UK quite like the term Sick when describing something fantastic.

Despite explaining this to the US Homeland of Security the pair where sent back straight away and where not allowed entry into the US

  • good video. how could i mention something to you privatley?

  • @iaptus313 If you go into my actual Youtube page, you will see a link there for my personal email address or you could just click on the Send Message link that will send a direct message to me which will obviously be private. All the best mate and thank you for dropping by.

  • I'd like to know more about those licensing issues you had. That sounds like a pretty retarded policy.

  • @TalesOfWar What was really difficult about their request was that my iMovie came preinstalled on my MacBook Pro so it wasn't like I had a serial number to provide them that I owned it. Another thing that was strange, the video I made just before the SOPA video played the same intro and was accepted for Revenue Sharing. Over 3,500 views had passed before they accepted the SOPA video for revenue. Strange to say the least.

  • this is a major issue i have with all social forums, we are not peer to peer, our data should reside on our own computers, no ads, no central repository for data. i take issue with who owns the data and how due process works to get the data.

  • @mrbit10 Marcel hows it going mate, I was going to send you an email last night but fell asleep at my laptop and woke up in the middle of the night lol. Hope you are well mate and it is so good to see you commenting on my channel, your thoughts are always educational and inspiring. Talk to you soon mate and hope you and the family are well.

  • @TalesOfWar I thought so as well. At the beginning of my video, the Intro Music is from iMovies Jingle section and the tune is called Half Moon Bay Short.caf. Any way I obviously click Revenue Sharing on all my videos as I am in the Partner program, and in the past always knew never to play chart music in the videos. Regarding the SOPA video I receive a email from YouTube telling me that they need me to show them I hold the licensing rights for the Intro Music.

  • well, I heard Twitter support with SOPA is serious problem as "under surveillance" against free speech.

I will deleting my Twitter account...

  • @mrbit10 SOPA and PIPA were FODDER for the TREATY ALREADY signed with the U.N. OCT 2011..this is known as ACTA..this IS how the elite and media make ppl BELIEVE that things are 'happening'(instead of HAPPENED) as if there is hope to reverse these laws..LOL..well, it worked again with ppl focused on SOPA and PIPA while ACTA ALREADY makes this 'LEGAL'..just an FYI friend..just google ACTA and spread the word..

  • @joethetechiewiipsp Yea they could worded it better. Seriously saying tweet in that way was not good

  • sorry missed a few letters

  • YANK ARE ALREADY AFFRAID OF IRISH LIKE IN 1800's but now for different reasons. hehe

WELCOM TO TRUE DEMOCRACY. EVEN in GERMANY in 1930;s IT WASNT SO BAD

  • @TruthMakesPeace One thing that would help would be having a retirement age for all politicians. 70 sounds about right. When you look at pictures or video from Parliament here in the UK or the Senate in the US and so on it's like a retirement home. Half of them are asleep or may as well be for all the good they do.

  • @CyborgAlphaV1 Usin'g laws created under Bush.

  • Simple solution. If you don't want to risk being subjected to such treatment, don't travel to countries where you feel there is no real rule of law or where they have laws you do not want to accept. Few people on this planet are actually forced to travel to the US or Iran or places like that. I've myself stopped traveling to the US when they started fingerprinting each arrival years ago. The World is full of interesting places elsewhere.
